The Oakland Independent now operates out of the old doctor's office at 26 East Main Street.
This is the paper's second location.
It was first located on the square between the bank and The Noodle Factory ( Old Oakland Bakery).
The paper is owned, operated and managed by Janice Hunt of Oakland.
The paper has already won numerous awards and is a wonderful asset to our community.
