Oakland VFW & Oakland Fire Protection District will present:

Saturday, July 4th, 2015

ON THE SQUARE

9:00am - 1:00pm:

Cruise- In

This will be on the east side of the square and it will be closed off.

Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles

Those who participate will be asked to join in the parade.

11:00 am:

 VFW will conduct a proper flag burning.

1:00pm:

Parade

(Homecoming Route)

Grand Marshall- Darrell Duzan, Sr.

Included:

Decorating contests for both golf carts and bicycles.

Judges- Audrey Jorns, Michele VonBehrens

Plaques will be awarded to the winners.

Miller's Park

Events:

Bags Tournament

Frisbee Baseball

Bounce House

Rock Climbing Wall for Children

The swimming pool will be open.

3:30pm:

BBQ Baby Back Rib Contest

Judges- John Crawford, Bill Farthing, Bobby Temples

Winner gets a trophy and bragging rights.

4:30pm:

VFW will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs at the pavilion.

7:30pm:

Jac Freeze Band will be playing.

DUSK:

National Anthem- Maddie Flesner

FIREWORKS!

* VFW Raffle- $1400 in beef and pork
Tickets are $10 each.
