Leoma M. Allison, age 91 of Oakland, IL, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Lee was born January 7, 1925 in Hugo, IL to Purl and Okel (Peters) Bennett. She married Raymond Roller in 1944, and they had two children: Edward Raymond Roller and Ruth Ann (Roller) Davis; both survive. She and Raymond divorced, and she married Wilson Allison in 1964, who preceded her in death in 1998. From that marriage, she is survived by two stepchildren:… Walter (Diane) Allison and Shirley Tyler. She is also survived by one sister, Ruth Barnett, two granddaughters, five great-granddaughters, and four great-great-grandchildren, all from Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Dorothy Thomas and Louise Ney, two brothers: Edward Bennett and Glendon Bennett, and a stepson: David Allison.
Lee was a beautician for thirty years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for fifty years. She was a faithful member of the Oakland Christian Church.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Oakland Christian Church.
