Madonna Sue Snoddy, age 76, of Oakland, IL, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her home.
Sue was born November 6, 1939 in Ashmore, IL to Chester and Mabel (Johnson) Williams. She married Herschel Dean Snoddy on November 28, 1958 in Oakland. She previously worked at Moore Business Forms. She enjoyed traveling with the Voyagers travel club, playing cards with friends and was a “professional” shopper. She also was a member of the Red Hat Club.
She is survived by two children: Kelly… (Bob) Gillett of West Jordan, UT and Jeff Snoddy of Kansas, IL; five grandchildren: Brooke (Joe) Bueker of Charleston, IL, Brittany (Jackson) Montz of Ashmore, IL, Roger Snoddy of Kansas, IL, Rusty (Julia) Snoddy of Oakland, IL, and Braedon Gillett of Taylorsville, UT; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, one grandson, and two great-grandsons.
A fireside celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 27270 State Highway 133. Food will be provided for family and friends.
